Abstract

612,286. Vehicle floor structures. PRESSED STEEL CO., Ltd., and MORPHEW, L. R. May 23, 1946, No. 15605. [Class 108 (i)] A vehicle floor structure is comprised of a central longitudinal bearer 11, and side longitudinal bearers 12 on each side thereof having interposed between them a series of plates 16, 17 and 18 formed with bulges 20, 21 and 22. The plates are welded by their side flanges 15 and 25 to the longitudinal bearers 11 and 12, to which also is welded a flat plate 14 extending between the bearers across the tops of the plates and forming the floor proper. The series of plates 16, 17 and 18 may be formed integrally from a single sheet and the tops of their bulges 20, 21 and 22 may be cut out or recessed back.
