Abstract

612,132. Elastic-fluid turbines. BROWN, T. W. F., YATES, H. G., and PARSONS & MARINE ENGINEERING TURBINE RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION. May 7, 1946, No. 13777. [Class 110 (iii)] The casing. of a gas or other elastic fluid turbine is secured to the pedestals or other rigid supports by plates b which are secured at one end to the casing and at the other end to the support. The plates may be in pairs and each end of the casing may be supported by two horizontal pairs b and two vertical pairs at the sides. The casing is enclosed by a light steel shell e and the working fluid is led to yieldable connecting unions d as described in Specification 612,133, [Group XVIII].
