611,669. Mudguards. SPENCER, J., and STRONG, F. G. May 4, 1946, No. 13553. [Class 136 (i)] In a mudguard 14 for perambulators or the like, a portion of the stay 11 extends above or below the axle 13 and has slidably mounted thereon between two shoulders 16 formed on the stay, two clips 17 each formed as a closed loop of metal through which the stay passes, the sides of the stay being engaged by the sides of the loops, and the clips extending past opposite sides of the axle and being drawn into gripping engagement therewith by a longitudinal bolt 18 connecting the end portions of the clips, and the bolt and stay being disposed one on top and the other below the axle. U-shaped distance-pieces 21 are mounted on the shoulders 16 of the stay and are of various dimensions to correspond with varying cross-sectional dimensions of the axle.
