[Class 53] An accumulator has electrodes of graphite or other material not affected by the electrolyte which consists of a solution of a lead salt of an acid not affected by the chemical reactions such as lead silicofluoride. To obtain a satisfactory deposite of lead peroxide on the positive electrode a substance having a flocculating effect on lead peroxide is added to the electrolyte. Naphthalene sulphonic acids may be added for this purpose or a sodium salt of such acids.
