Abstract
610,760. Moulding-machines. CHEYNE, R. D. April 16, 1946, No. 11618. [Class 83 (i)] A sand-slinging moulding-machine comprises a frame 10 carrying a hopper 19, a centrifugal slinger 21 with a nozzle 36, and an adjustable table 15 for the flask, driven arms for agitating the sand in the hopper and a worm for conveying it from the hopper to the slinger being provided. The table may be adjustable in three directions at right angles by handoperated means 16, 17 and the hopper and slinger about a vertical axis, being carried by wheels 23 on a circular track 24. The slinger-casing 21 may be adjustable about the axis of its rotor 26, Fig. 3, by a pinion 43. The agitator arms 39 and the worm 38 may be driven by a motor 33 through chain and toothed gearing 30, 40, 41, the gear 41 being mounted on a shaft 28 which drives the rotor 26. The nozzle 36 may be attached by a bayonet-socket joint and the gear 41 drive the shaft 28 through a clutch. The frame 10 may be mounted on wheels 12 and the hopper be supplied with sand by a conveyer 25.
