[Class 44] [Also in Group XXVIII] A friction-grip fastening device for telescopic tubes comprises a sleeve 41 contained in a recess 5 of a casing 3 attached to the outer tube 1, the sleeve having its ends inclined to its axis, Fig. 5, so that on tightening the cap 7, Fig. 1, the sleeve will be tilted in such a way as to grip firmly the inner tube 2, Fig. 4.
