Abstract
610,295. Feeding sheets. BOBST & FILS SOC. ANON., J. April 8, 1946, No. 10810. Convention date, March 5, 1945. [Class 100(i)] Sheets fed to a goffering or other paper-working machine comprising, as shown, press members 1, 2, are registered on a feed table 11 by means of two or more pins engaging holes previously punched in the sheets, the pins being carried by a plate 12 on which are one or more flexible blades 13, 14 which are attached to part of the machine such as a ledge 17 carrying front stops 25, the sheets being raised off the pins to slide over the blades into grippers on endless chains 3. The pins may be carried by plates 18, 19 adapted to be adjusted about securing-screws. The blades 13, 14 are screwed at 21 to the ledge 17 at their forward ends and to the plate 12 at the rear ends, the latter connection comprising screws engaging elongated holes in the blades. The movement of the ledge has the effect of arching the blades to the broken line positions, Fig. 3a.
