Abstract

609,386. Electrostatic dust-separating filters. SMIDTH & CO., AKTIESELSKABET, F. L. March 12, 1946, No.. 7752. Convention date, Aug. 29, 1944. [Class 39 (i)] An electrostatic dust-separating filter comprises ionising electrodes, Fig. 2 (not shown), and collecting plates 5 carried by two supporting beams 9, each connected by two rods 10 passing through the lower wall 16 of the casing 1 to a beam 13 resiliently suspended on springs 14 resting on collars 22 at the lower ends of rods 15 connected to the wall 16. The beam 13 carries an electromagnet 17, whose armature is secured to the rod 18. The rod 18 is reciprocated against the action of a spring 19 to impart jarring movements to the collector electrode assembly by energising the electromagnet 17 with alternating current.
