Abstract
609,344. Moulding concrete. STENT PRECAST CONCRETE, Ltd., and STENT, D. H. March 12, 1946, No. 7627. [Class 87(ii)] Concrete is cast in a mould having an inwardly displaceable bottom b so that when the mould is inverted it can be lifted and the bottom pressed inwards to eject the concrete article by levers f Fig. 1 which at one end press on the bottom b and raise the mould by means of stirrups i. A pallet d is secured over the mouth of the mould before inversion. The mould may be lifted by hoisting tackle which raises the mould by means of chains connected to trunnions at the ends of the mould as well as by the levers and there is sufficient slack in the chains to operate the levers to press the bottom b inwards. In a further modification the ends of the levers r Fig. 8 are pivoted together by a spindle s adapted to be raised by a hook v on the bar of the hoisting tackle. The trunnions at the ends of the mould are connected to the bar by rods w along which the bar is slidable.
