[Class 52(ii)] A pedestal chair has the seat 11 received in a hollow tapered casing 10 comprising a foursided inverted pyramid the apex of which is connected to the pedestal base of similar form having its sides c u t away to form four legs 1a with castors 2. A sleeve 5 welded to the top of the base carries a threaded spindle E rigidly secured to the seat casing 10 by welding. The casing 10 and base are formed of separate rounded angle sections of tapering form riveted or welded to strips 3. Specifications 609,242 and 609,244 are referred to.
