Abstract
A homoeopathic preparation is obtained by allowing germs in mucous taken from a human mucous membrane to multiply on a solid medium e.g. agar or veal broth, planting the predominant germ therefrom on a second solid medium, and allowing to multiply, washing the germs therefrom by .5 per cent sodium chloride solution, centrifuging (at 2,000 r.p.m.) and decanting the supernatant fluid, centrifuging the fluid at greater speed than previously (4,000 r.p.m.), adding a metal salt, e.g. of uranium, barium or silver, to precipitate the proteins but not to affect the enzymes, filtering or centrifuging, adding a preservation solution, e.g. dilute phenol, and then adding known homoeopathic drugs appropriate to the disease to be treated. Drugs mentioned are ammonium chloride, arsenicum nitricum, dulcamara, hydrastis canadensis, potassium and calcium carbonate, calcium phosphate, colchicum autumnale, echinacea angl., gaulthenia, rhus toxicodendrum, phosphoric acid, silver nitrate, benzoic acid, sanarthrite, thuja occidentale, belladonna stramonium, cicutum rurosa, chelidonium, hydrocyamic acid, nux vomica, phosphor, sepia, zinc, white arsenic, digitalis, hepar sulphuras calcicus hammamelis, secale cornutum, magnesium phosphate, copper acetate, sulphur, iron, sodium chloride, pulsatilla nigricaus, chinin arsen, nitric acid.
