608,527. Mooring ships. HAMILTON'S LILYFLEX SURFACES, Ltd., and HAMILTON, R. M. Feb. 25, 1946, Nos. 5887 and 25870. [Class 113 (i)] [Also in Groups XXV and XXX] A wharf built-up of interfitting hexagonal floating units a, as described in Specification 584,132 and used for supporting a boom for loading ships (see Group XXX) is moored to the sea bottom by chains 111, which are brought up through openings formed at each end of the wharf by removing one of the units. Each chain is provided with a shackle 115, which is connected to mooring elements 123 attached to hinges 120, 121, 122 on adjacent units, by levers 116, 117 secured together by a pin-and-slot device 119.
