607,919. Rail vehicles; engine cooling. SCHWEIZERISCHE LOKOMOTIV - UND - MASCHINENFABRIK. March 4, 1946, No. 6698. Convention date, March 3, 1945. [Class 79 (iii)] In a rail vehicle comprising a bogie-mounted internal-combustion engine 3 and a radiator 1 mounted on the body, an air duct is provided between the fan 4 and radiator 1, the portion 11 surrounding the fan being fast with the bogie, the portion 10 being fast with the body, and a flexible portion 14 connecting the two. The flexible portion 14 is preferably disposed in a vertical plane passing through the bogie trunnion 13. The duct 10 may be used as cross-bracing for the body.
