Abstract
607,228. Woven fabric for swim suits &c. SHAW, W. Nov. 23, 1945, No. 31600. [Class 142(iv)] A fabric for expansible garments is woven in a check pattern from normal or low twist warp and weft (wholly or main non-wool) and hard twist warps and weft (wholly or mainly wool) so that on wetting out it takes the form shown in Fig. 2, which is a section through the fabric in both the warp and the weft directions. The wool a is on one surface and the non-wool b on the other. The hard twist yarns may be worsted and are preferably folded, most of the twist being imparted when doubling; the other yarns may be rayon silk, or cotton, thinner than the worsted.
