705,055. Milled fabrics. HASSAN, H. Sept. 21, 1950 [Oct. 4, 1949], No. 25555/49. Drawings to Specification. Class 142(4) [Also in Group VIII] A woven fabric which is subsequently milled (see Group VIII), to produce, e.g. a melton or similar type fabric, comprises weft yarns containing wool fibres and warp yarns of artificial fibres or filaments which decrease in strength on wetting reinforced with vegetable fibre yarns which increase in strength. on wetting. The warp may be formed of one or more spun rayon yarns alternating with, or twisted together with. one or more cotton yarns. According to the Provisional Specification, yarns formed from blends of artificial and vegetable, fibres may be used in the fabric, and artificial fibre yarns may be used in either warp or weft or both.
