Abstract

607,066. Kinematograph apparatus. MACQUEEN, N. S. Jan. 24, 1946, No. 2399. [Class 97 (i)] [Also in Group XXXVIII] A continuous-feed projector has a rotatable drum, round which the film winds, with a continuous transparent periphery, and containing a lamp from which light beams are directed through the transparent periphery for picture and sound reproduction. The drum may be driven by the pull of the film only. The form shown has film spools 2 and 7 and a transparent drum 5 driven by the motor 13. The lamps 21 and the sound and picture condenser systems 22, 23 are supported on the stationary structure 17 within the drum. The picture beam is projected through an optical compensator block 24 and projection lens 25 to be reflected from the prism 26 to form an image on the screen 27. The sound-reproducing beam falls on the photo-electric cell 28.
