Abstract
605,824. Pile fabric looms. BOUCHER & CO., Ltd., and BADGER, A. J. Jan. 7,1946. No. 499. [Class 142(ii)] In a loom in which lengths of pile yarn .are withdrawn from tubular guides by grippers 31 and severed from the supply before insertion into the fabric, severing is effected by raising a comb 30 into engagement with the yarns and sliding knives 26 along it. Each knife is pressed against the comb by a clip 23 engaging one of a series of serrations in the knife, whereby its height can be adjusted.
