605,382. Air cleaners. HOUDAILLEHERSHEY CORPORATION. Dec. 20, 1945, No. 34632. Convention date, Feb. 1. [Class 8 (ii)] An air cleaner comprises a casing 1 having a centre tube inlet 5 surrounded by a filter mass 8 and an oil sump consisting of two separated chambers 23, 26 of different depths, the shallower one 26 lying directly beneath the centre tube 5. The deeper chamber 23 comprises an annular trough separated from the chamber 26 by a sloping cross-connection 25. The filter mass 8 consists of wavy wire, vegetable fibre or curled cattle-tail hair.
