[Class 12 (i)] [Also in Groups II and XII] A rotary grinding mill, kiln or drying drum is supported at one or more points on its length by a single self-adjustable slide shoe 8, contacting a sheet-iron ring 2 welded to the end of the drum and connected by ribs 5a, 5b to a reinforcing ring 4 which is itself connected to a sheet-iron trunnion member 7 and to the drum by ribs 6a and 6b respectively. Selfadjusting shoes or other supports may be fitted to both ends of a horizontal diameter of the drum engaging the ring 2. The slide shoe 8 is supported on a foundation plate 12 by rollers 9, 11 and an intermediate member 10.
