Abstract

603,585. Number plates. BLUEMEL BROS., Ltd., and BLUEMEL, R. E. May 26, 1945, No. 13227, [Class 3(ii)] A vehicle number plate of the type comprising translucent sheets 10 arranged behind stencilled letter, &c. plates, the plates being held in an open frame having supporting verticals only at the ends, has the plates 11 formed with curved overlapping vertical edges 21, 22 which prevent light from a rear .source seeping between the plates. The upper and lower edges of the plates 11 are formed with lugs 12 which take over the sheets 10 to hold them in position. The enclosing frame has channelled upper and lower edges which receive the combined display members, and are riveted and adjustably bolted to reverse channelled end verticals.
