603,300. Relief valves. CANDLER-HILL CORPORATION. June 1, 1945, No. 13788. Convention date, Dec. 28, 1944. [Class 135] A fluid - pressure relief valve comprises a housing 10, a partition 15, having at least one aperture 24 therethrough and dividing the interior into a service compartment 18 having a fluid inlet 20 and an outlet 21, and a relief compartment 19 having an outlet 22 and spring-loaded member 26 normally closing the aperture 24, the member and partition having recesses 29, 25 respectively defining in the closed position a chamber communicating with the relief compartment through the passages 30. The valve member 26 slides on the guide pin 23 to act as a dashpot.
