602,698. Filters. KISCH, L. A. Nov. 9, 1945, No. 29989. [Class 46] A strainer apparatus comprises an upwardly-open strained liquid receiving chamber 12 partly submerged in liquid to be strained, one or more filter units 16 mounted on elbow joints 14, and means within the chamber, for example, an immersion type discharge pump 30 for withdrawing strained liquid. The filter unit comprises a flat supporting plate 15 fixed to the elbow joint 14, a liquid pervious filter bag 16, the bottom 20 of which is folded round the bottom member 18 of a wire supporting frame 17 and hooked clamps 22 whereby the unit is secured to the plate 15.
