[Class 141] A folding trouser press and stretcher comprises two plates a, b hinged together at c, and two loose pressure plates d, e, pockets being provided along one longitudinal edge of the hinged plates to receive one edge of the plates d, e and pockets along the other longitudinal edge to receive wedge members f for securing the plates d, e in position. Curved portions are provided on the transverse edges of the plates d, e adjacent the hinges c, c so that when the trousers are clamped between the two sets of plates and the plate a is folded over on to the plate b, a substantially hemispherical surface is provided around which the knee portion of the trousers is stretched. Alternatively, the hinges c, may be joined by a rod carrying a roller. The wedges are prevented from being entirely withdrawn from the pockets by being bent downwardly at their outer edges and upwardly at their inner edges. The lateral edge portions of the opposed faces of each pair of plates a, band d, e are preferably provided with facings g of rubber or the like. A chain with a central hook for suspension purposes may be connected at its ends to the pivot pins of the hinges and a coat hanger and means for pressing the cuffs of the trousers may be provided.
