[Class 30] A fur-cutting knife comprises a holder having a pair of side plates to clamp two or more spaced cutting blades which are mounted on at least two blade supporting and positioning keys extending between the side plates, one or both of the plates beingmounted for pivotal movement into and away from clamping position. As shown in Fig. 1, a holder 20, T-shaped in cross-section, is provided on each side with two triangular keys or posts 28 on which are mounted two cutting blades 31 having pointed ends 34 projecting beyond the holder. Two side plates 21, 22 pivoted to the holder 20 at 23 are sprung to pass over and engage the posts 28, and a bolt is then passed through them and the holder to clamp the parts together. In a modification having four blades, the upper part of the holder is broadened and the keys 28 are lengthened to carry on each side a spacing block and another blade; in this form the blades are reversible having cutting points at each end. In another modification, Fig. 5, the holder 61 is formed with a side part 65 which carries a post 66, angular in cross-section, and has a hole to receive a bolt 67. Blades 62 and spacing blocks 71 alternately are placed on the post 66 and bolt 67 which then receive a side plate 72 pivoted at 73 and the parts are clamped. In this form the distance between the pairs of blades can be varied by using spacing blocks of different widths. The Specification, as open to inspection under Sect. 91, describes also a blade 81, Fig. 11, (Cancelled), having one triangular hole 83 and a dove-tailed extension 84. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
