Abstract
599,921. Pouches. OLSTAD, C. P. Feb. 2, 1945, No. 2672. Drawings to Specification. [Class 133] [Also in Group VIII] A moisture-vapour-proof pouch is formed of an outer transparent lamination and an inner lamination having its inner surface coated with a pigment which may be adhesive and moisture vapour proof, said laminations being secured together by a tacky non-solidifying moisturevapour-proof adhesive and being coated on at least their outward faces with a moisturevapour-proof heat-sealable material, the composite sheet being folded and having edge portions heat-sealed together. The outer lamination may be of moisture-vapour-proof cellulose material and printed on the inner side. The inner lamination may be of metal foil. The moisture-vapour.proof heat-sealable coating is preferably a vinyl compound, e.g., a copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate. The adhesive is preferably an admixture of a plasticized resinous substance having an affinity for cellulose material and plasticized raw rubber thoroughly milled together with paraffin wax.
