[Class 140] [Also in Group XIII] Multilayer heat-insulating material built up from a number of thin foils separated by airfilled or gas-filled spaces uses foils 0.02-0.05 mm. thick made of synthetic resin such as polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride, or a silicone polymer such as methyl silicone polymer and containing a heat-reflecting or heat-absorbing filler. The filler may comprise powders, grains or scales of a metal such as aluminium or a pigment such as graphite.
