Abstract

597,600. Castors. WOLFFING, S. Aug. 23, 1945, No. 21595. [Class 52(i)] A castor comprises a bell-shaped upper member 10 detachably secured, by means of a screw thread, to a cupshaped member 11, which is securable to a piece of furniture; the lower part of member 10 being fitted with a ball or roller bearing 15, the inner race of which is formed by a short cylinder 14 having diametrically mounted therein a spindle 17 carrying a roller 16. The roller may be composed of hard rubber and the length is preferably at least twice the diameter.
