Abstract

597,101. Valve holders. CINCH MANUFACTURING CORPORATION. Aug. 9, 1945, No. 20462. Convention date, Aug. 16, 1944. [Class 38 (i)] A holder comprising a body 1, apertured to receive valve pins and provided with a rim 6 co-operates with a mounting device formed as a shell 10 having a flange 13 which with indentations 14, 15 engage the rim 6 to secure the holder and shell together. The shell is also provided with lugs 14 for mounting the assembly on a support 5. The body is located by recesses 4 which engage arcuate flanges 4a cut from the shell at openings 20. An indicator 16 in the form of a coloured symbol is provided on the shell for correctly inserting the valve. Other forms of indicator include a projection or a triangular notch on the upper rim of the shell notch, Figs. 9, 10 (not shown). A catch 21 holds an earthing shield securely on the shell. In an alternative method of retaining the body in the shell, the edges of the shell are turned inwardly to secure the rim 6 between those edges and grooves in the shell, Fig. 8 (not shown).
