[Class 83 (iii)] A T-slot clamp comprises a number of interengaging integers located one upon the'other so that the upstanding pillar of the clamp can be built up to any desired height. The clamp consists of an inverted T-section base 3 with a round projection 12 extending beyond the T-slot of a machine table 2, a deep integer 9, a shallow integer 10 of half the depth of integer 9 and a top integer 11 having two or more arms 5, 6 with tapped holes for clamp screws 7, 8 with universally-pivoted discs 19. The clamp discs face opposite ways and the arms are so located that by inverting the top integer the effective levels of the arms 5 and 6 are altered by half the depth of the integer 10. The integers are clamped together and to the table by a bolt 14 of appropriate length passing through holes 13 and engaging a screwed bore 16 in the base 3 and are located relatively to each other by a peg 17 engaging a hole 18 in the integer above ; the hole 18 in the top integer is a through hole to allow it to be inverted. The diameter of the holes 13 is large enough to fit the projection 12, but is reduced at the top of each integer in order to fit closely on the bolt 14. To lighten the integers, their sides are recessed and to permit them to be stacked on a rod when not in use a hole 20 is provided. A normal set of integers consists of one upper integer 11, three deep integers 9 and one shallow integer 10.
