Abstract
595,792. Walls. COOK, W. G. Jan. 10, 1946, No. 1408/45. [Class 20(iv)] In a structure comprising a wall framework including a base course 6 and grooved uprights 8, 8a, receiving the edges of wall slabs 9, dowels 12 projecting from the uprights engage the half-lapped ends of concrete stringing course elements 11. Reinforcement 11c in the elements encircles the dowels. Vents 8d in the uprights provide free ventilation. Inner plaster panels 10, reinforced by lathing 10a, 10b, engage recesses 8j in the corner posts and are secured by T-screws 8h within vertical recesses 8a in their edges received in lead plugs 8g in posts 8 and have recesses 11a, 11b for wallplates 13b supporting the ends of floor joists 13 and the wall slabs 9. Roof joists 28 rest on the first floor string course 22.
