595,357. Differential gearing. POWER JETS (RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT), Ltd., and BRAME, E. April 8, 1944, No. 6590. [Class 80(ii)] [Also in Group XXVI] In a gas turbine plant, the turbine drives an air compressor and another machine through differential gears. In Fig. 1 in a plant arranged for combined jet and airscrew propulsion the turbine rotor 2 drives an air-compressor 7 and an air-screw 26 through differential gears 22, 20, 21. Various forms of equivalent differential gears with crown wheels of different diameters are shown.
