590,862. Sine bars. WORBY, S. E. April 24, 1945, No. 10242. [Class 97 (iii)] A tool for measuring and setting out angles comprises a bar 10 having a flat upper surface 14 and bearing points at each end. At one end is a cylinder 15 fixed to the bar and at the other end a telescoping 'pillar 21, pivotally mounted on transverse pins 30. The pillar body 21 contains a fixed micrometer screw and a graduated micrometer nut 29. The body 21 bears graduations 31 indicating thousandths of an inch. A vernier scale 39 is' provided on the micrometer nut 29 for further accuracy. A screw 36 locks the micrometer by expanding a split portion of the micrometer screw.
