Abstract
590,116. Detachable seat frames. ACCLES & POLLOCK, Ltd., DEANS, C., DEANS, C. F., and MICKLETHWAITE, J., [trading as DEANS & SON]. April 12, 1945, No. 9158. [Class 52 (ii)] Seat supporting means comprise a leg frame having legs a', a<2> provided at their upper ends with clips b, c, for the attachment of a seat frame d. Preferably the cross-members d', d<2>, of the seat frame d are elliptical in cross-section to enable the member d' to be inserted into the clip b with its short axis vertical and then turning the seat frame through 90 degrees to enable the tube d<2> to seat in the bottom half c<1> of the clip c. The top half c<2> of the clip is bent at c<3> to engage in the hole in the bottom half and the free ends of both halves secured by a bolt f. The bolt e securing the clip b and the bolt f are so situated as to prevent any projections above the seat frame or at the outer sides of the legs.
