Abstract

<PICT:0588774/III/1> A self-contained liquid-cleansing apparatus for cleansing engine or machine parts by immersion in a liquid, e.g., paraffin, comprises a casing a divided into upper and lower compartments c and b. The upper compartment contains the cleansing liquid f and a perforated dipping tray g with hinged handles h adapted to rest on supports i. A blower s is mounted at the rear in front of a grille t and in line with the tray g and nozzle u. Articles on tray, after dipping in liquid f are raised to the position shown in Fig. 2, and on starting the blower, an air stream passes via conduit x moisture-extracting chamber b conduit v and nozzle u over the articles in tray, thus drying them. A hinged or slidable lid j with viewing window k and rubber-sleeved openings p allows of manual operation of tray without interfering with the interior air-flow.
