Abstract

588,452. Piezo-electric crystal mountings. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., and GRAY, F. Jan. 23, 1945, No. 1798. [Class 40 (v)] A mounting for a piezo-electric crystal comprises two spring brackets having opposed recesses for receiving diametrically opposite corners of the crystal. Spring brackets 7 are mounted on base plate 1 and hold quartz crystal 3 in recesses 16. Strips 17, integral with the upright limbs 9 of the brackets grip the crystal between projections 18 formed at their ends. Electrical connections to the electrodes 5 on the crystal are made through electrode extensions 19 to the brackets and through wires 20.
