585,298. Sewing-machines. BRITISH SEWING MACHINES, Ltd., and ARMSTRONG, E. W. Feb. 16, 1945, No. 3922. Drawings to Specification. [Class 112] Lock-stitching by shuttles.-In order to position the bobbin-case automatically so that its retaining finger engages the notch in the cover of the shuttle race or case when the bobbin is inserted, the cover is provided on its outer surface, on each side of the notch, with an integral or attached cam piece adapted to engage the bobbin-case finger as it is pushed in and to guide it to the notch. The cam surfaces also improve the stitching by guiding the thread smoothly to the notch.
