[Classes 52 (i) and 52 (ii)] The outer side walls of sheet-metal articles of furniture are formed of a single plate 22 dished to provide rounded edges on all sides, or on three sides only if the fourth is in direct contact with the floor. As applied to a pedestal desk the inner sides 23 can be similarly formed and vertical stiffeners 26 of channel-sectioned metal can be welded on the inner faces of the dished panels.
