Abstract

[Class 35] [Also in Group VI] In an electrically-operated hair drier (see Group VI) each of three motor blower units comprises an electric motor 5 which is gripped in a frame 6 carrying two mounting slides 7. The frame 6 may consist of two V-shaped clamping jaws drawn together by screw means. Pillars 10 of variable effective length extend radially from the frame to pivots 11 in the longitudinally tiltable slides 7. In each duct 13, in diametrically opposed positions, are fixed two members 16 of channel-shaped crosssection and carrying in their lateral flanges inclined and tapering grooves 16a into which slides 7 are wedged, the motor unit being secured by a rubber block 17 which may be carried by a cross-bar latched to the mouth of the duct 13. Where used in a system of electrical contacts, members 7 and 16 are made of insulating material and leads connect the motor via terminals 18 to conducting strips (fixed to slides 7) upon which bear spring contacts 20, mounted in members 16 and connected to insulated terminals 21. Each opening 15 is provided with a removable perforated cover preferably associated with switching means adapted to break electric circuit when said cover is removed.
