Abstract

<PICT:0583449/III/1> A deaerator for boiler feed water comprising an evacuated chamber a into which the water is sprayed by a float - controlled valve g is provided with positive electrodes r partly submerged in the water, the vessel itself acting as cathode. A potential just sufficient to effect electrolysis is applied and the elimination of the dissolvent oxygen is thereby facilitated.
