Abstract

581,237. Pneumatic tyres. DOWTY EQUIPMENT, Ltd., and BOUND, R. H. Oct. 13, 1944, No. 19849. [Class 144 (ii)] The pneumatic tyres 8 of a twin-wheel aircraft landing element are maintained in communication through a pressureequalization pipe 10 extending through the fixed hollow axle 1. As shown, the pipe 10 is supported in bushes 11, 12 and connected through pipes 15, 17 and branches 9L, 9R to the valves or valve-stems of the tyres. An inflation-valve 13a is provided on a banjo fitting 13 at one end of the pipe 10.
