Abstract

578,902. Cable sleeves; mounting terminal. CALLENDER'S CABLE & CONSTRUCTION CO., Ltd., BRAZIER, L. G., and HOLLINGSWORTH, D. T. Aug. 12, 1944, No. 15410. [Classes 36 and 38 (i)] In a sealing end for a high-pressure gas cable having a tubular insulator 2 sealed to a baseplate 1 by a cast plumb 20 and having a gasentry chamber 26, the chamber consists of a bell 21 sealed to the cable by a flange 22 and immersed in the plumb 20 which has a container comprising an inverted bell 12 attached to the base plate 1. A gas-inlet pipe 18 and a draining pipe 17 are fitted through the bell 12 and to different levels in chamber 26, which has a metal pipe 30 connected to a glass pipe 32 extending beyond the stress cone 29. The bell 21 has conical tongues 23 resting on the baseplate 1 which has a flange 19 to mould the plumb.
