Abstract

577,393. Tumbler switches ; snap-action switches. ASHLEY ACCESSORIES, Ltd., and PICKERING, C. W. April 24, 1944, No. 7533. [Class 38 (v)] A tumbler switch dolly 5, pivoted on a shaft 4 is integral with a piece 13 which has cam surfaces 14, 15, 16 on both sides so that in the opening movement it acts on bar contacts 6, 7 which are slidably mounted on the same shaft 4. The contacts 6, 7 are forced along the shaft against the action of springs 8 which, during the closing movement, return them into contact with the contact blocks 9, 10. A snap action in both directions is obtained by means of flats 17 on piece 13 acting on a fixed bent spring 18.
