576,218. Turbine and compressor blades. HEPPNER, F. A. M. Sept. 11, 1941, No. 9059/42. Divided out of 11652/41. [Class 110 (iii)] The blades of an axial flow compressor or like wheel are formed of sheet metal, the front surface of one blade 19 and the back surface of the next 18 being formed in one piece with a distance piece 13. Side pieces 15 are bent down to embrace the sides of the disc 11. The meeting edges of the blade parts are secured together by welding, soldering, &c. Specifications 544,909 and 574,447 are referred to.
