Abstract

For the treatment with liquid of cakes of artificial thread, perforated tubular holders are employed, each having a single longitudinal groove in which all the perforations are located. The liquid is supplied under pressure to the interior of the holder 4, Fig. 2, and forced <PICT:0576176/IV/1> <PICT:0576176/IV/2> through perforations 6 in a groove 5 and thence through the cakes 7. A number of holders 4 may be secured to a liquid receptacle 9, Fig. 4, by hollow clamp screws 1 having perforations 11, through which liquid is supplied from the receptacle 9 to the perforations 6. Specifications 349,681 and 483,856 are referred to.
