Abstract

575,896. Plaster board. TRIGGS, W. W. (National Gypsum Co.). Oct. 18, 1943, No. 17116. Drawings to Specification. [Class 87 (i)] The liners of plaster board consist of paper produced on a Fourdrinier machine from a mixture of chip and kraft stock, the finished paper having a weight of 35 to 45 pounds per square inch, crosswise strength of 28 to 35 pounds, thickness of about 0.015 to 0.016 inches, and densometer test of 20 seconds. The stock comprises 30 to 50 per cent. of chip stock and 70 to 50 per cent. of kraft stock. A normal mix of calcined gypsum and water to which may be added paper pulp, starch and foaming ingredients, is used for the core. U.S.A. Specification 1,538,793 is referred to.
