Abstract
575,431. Hydraulic or pneumatic apparatus ; valves. HEYWOOD COMPRESSOR CO., Ltd., HUNT, J. A., and JAY, J. B. Jan. 27, 1944, No. 1551. [Classes 69 (ii) and 135] (Also in Group XXVIII] Supply of pressure gas or. liquid to the ends of a power cylinder is controlled by two solenoids a, b, having armatures c, d in axial alignment provided with inlet f, g and outlet valves e, h, and spring urged to close the inlet valves when the solenoids are deenergized. Remote pushbuttons 12, 13 control the solenoids, and a third button 14 serves for releasing either of the others. The buttons are locked in the depressed position by levers 15, 16, 17 so interconnected that only one can be held in at any time. The power piston o is centralized by springs y, z which also maintain sealing rings u, t against a circlip v, as described in Specification 575,440. The springs y, z act on the piston through a flanged sleeve 5 and a collar 3 respectively.
