Abstract
575,424. High frequency supply systems. WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC INTERNATIONAL CO. Oct. 20, 1943, No. 17292. Convention date, Nov. 11, 1942. [Class 38 (iv)] A continuously moving conductor 1, e.g. a strip of tin plate, requiring heat treatment, is passed through high-frequency heater coils 3-8 energized by separate oscillators 13-18 tuned to slightly different frequencies and the tank circuits of which include the heater coils. Heating is controlled by an induction regulator 43 connected in the primary side of a transformer 45 supplying the rectifiers 49 through which the D.C. power for the oscillators is obtained.
