Abstract

247,949. Lorenz Akt.-Ges., C., (Assignees of Gerth, F.). Feb. 18, 1925, [Convention date]. Controlling heating systems.-In a supply system for a high frequency induction furnace the circuit containing the heating coil O includes means whereby this circuit may be tuned to oscillate at any desired frequency and a dynamo electric generator H is connected directlv or indirectly across a portion onlv of the tuning-means. In Figs. 2 and 5 the geluerator is connected across a fixed or variable portion respectively of an inductance S<1> connected in series with a variable inductance S, a condenser C, and the heating coil O, to form a closed circuit. In Figs. 3 and 4, the inductance S, is replaced by a condenser C<1> and a transformer T respectively. The natural period of the heating coil circuit may be equal to the supply frequency.
