Abstract

571,952. Lubricators. TECALEMIT, Ltd., and LE CLAIR, C. C. S. Nov. 17, 1943, No. 19217. [Class 12 (iii)] In a manually-operated high-pressure piston 31 fed from a low-pressure cylinder 1, wherein pressure is constantly supplied to the lubricant, as by a spring-pressed piston 8, the discharge from the high-pressure piston has a spring- urged non-return valve and this piston is arranged to be actuated by one hand or by the body of the operator. The low-pressure piston 8 is engaged by a spring 15 and has a rod 11 with a groove 11a for coloured paint to indicate the amount of grease in cylinder 1. Cylinder 1 is filled by passages 40, 39 and nipple 38 and has a passage 37 leading to the high-pressure cylinder 24 which has an outlet passage 22 to the spring-pressed ball valve 20 and discharge conduit 5. The piston 31 has a spring 32 and is covered by an operating plunger 30, the piston sliding through packing 26 described in Specification 566,329, [Group XXVI]. Plunger 30 is operated directly or by a pivoted lever. The lubricator body has a threaded shank 2 to be screwed into a support.
