Abstract

570,768. Cabinets, &c. COLTMAN, J. L., SIMPSON, A. E., and. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Dec. 17, 1943, No. 21173. [Class 52 (i)] The sides and back of a cabinet, &c., are formed integrally from sheet material, for example, light alloy or plastics, and are self-supporting, the upper and lower edges being housed and detachably secured by screws within grooves in upper and lower frames 3 and 4, the top 6 and base being also housed and similarly secured in the same or separate grooves formed in the upper and lower frames 4 and 3. The top and bottom sheets are flanged over to enter such grooves, and the side panels are curved round at the front corners to provide stiffening. A number of such cabinets may be attached to each other, the side portions of the frames being provided with grooves having a re-entrant cross-sectional groove adapted to receive a key member to unite the cabinets together. The cabinet may be finished with electrolytic anodizing and colouring.
